Stronger African collaboration – the Green Agenda
The UK and Zambia have signed a Green Growth Compact to drive billions in sustainable investment, create jobs and strengthen economic partnership, building on the momentum created by the COP26 climate summit. The Compact will strengthen coordination between the entire UK business community and the Zambian Government, as well as opening up financing opportunities for Zambian businesses. It provides the framework for collaboration with UK institutions that are researching and innovating in renewable energy, urban planning, trade connectivity and more. Through the BIISN Pan-Africa network you have been building strong relationships with SMEs in Africa and the Green Growth Agenda is one model that can facilitate collaboration not only between Zambia and the UK, but with the rest of the continent.

Interview with Tafi Mazikana, CEO and Co-founder of Vimbo Health
It is important that we showcase the work of some of the most amazing SMEs working on the African continent. Not only does it bring visibility to them and their businesses, but it raises awareness of the challenges in Africa and the solution sets that these inspiring individuals provide. This week I am joined by one such individual who has noticed the lack of affordable solutions in the mental health arena of Africa and who returned to southern Africa to address this deficit. Whether you are thinking about giving back to Africa or you simply resonate with the message that Tafi wants to share with us, then watch this interview that will talk you through how to identify your passion, turn it into a business idea and literally run with it!
